Begin with a Clean Heart

Lay your heart before me this new morning. You do not have to show me only what you have done well. If you recognize a wrong, ask for a clean heart and a fresh beginning rather than hiding it.

Let us consider what you sincerely want to change. Ask for courage to apologize where an apology is needed and return what should be returned. I want honesty to take root within you, deeper than outward appearances.

I do not want you trapped forever in the same place. Ask me for a steadfast spirit to keep walking the right path. Begin with a small choice today, and share a new day with your Father.
