A Day of Justice and Kindness

My dear son,

You do not have to achieve something impressive today to make your Father glad. I delight in a day spent treating people fairly, offering kindness freely, and walking humbly beside me.

Do not dismiss what belongs to someone else simply because doing so benefits you. When you reach out to help, remember to meet that person with respect. A heart committed to what is right can also be a heart full of tenderness.

If you discover that you were wrong, ask me for the courage to change. Practice that way of living among the people you meet today. It may never draw much attention, but your Father treasures it.
