Speak Hope to Your Heart
My dear son,
Tell your Father honestly how your heart is today. If you are joyful, I want to rejoice with you. If your spirits are low, I want to hear about that, too. You do not need to arrange your expression before coming.
When anxiety rises, do not simply drive yourself harder. As the psalmist urged his own soul to wait for God, speak gently to your heart. I am the Father in whom you can hope.
On days when praise comes readily, sing with joy. On days when words are difficult, wait beside me. Today's feelings do not define your whole life. Keep looking toward me as you live this day.
