Beneath the Shelter of My Love
My dear son,
Like a young bird beneath sheltering wings, breathe freely within my love. You do not need a special reason to come close to your Father. You may come simply because you want to be with me.
Tell me your happy stories, or rest without saying anything. You can visit me at times other than when you need help. I treasure time spent with you, so draw close today.
Let my steadfast love be a dependable shelter over your day. Receive strength within it, then live the life before you. How glad I will be if the hands that have received my care also reach out tenderly to someone nearby.
