Gratitude That Reaches More People

My dear son,

I raised Jesus, and I am the God who will raise those who believe in him together. I do not want your hope to end with what is visible today. Live in trust in the life I give beyond what you can presently see.

I would love for you to share that grace, rather than keep it as your own private joy. When gratitude for being loved reaches more people, I want to share in the gladness that grows among you.

If you have thankful news today, tell me freely. Remember with appreciation the people whose efforts contributed to it. May this evening hold both the hope of resurrection and the ordinary gratitude of your day as you rest.

13But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore we also speak,
14knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.
15For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

A short reflection

Paul trusts that the God who raised Jesus will raise and present believers together, so that spreading grace brings increasing thanksgiving to God's glory.
