A Promise Alongside the Mission

My dear son,

When Jesus sent his disciples to every nation, he gave them more than a task. He promised to be with them to the end of the age. You do not have to think of sharing my love as something you must accomplish alone.

As you meet people and share your faith, let Jesus' teaching take shape in your life before you look for words. You can help others grow while standing humbly beside them as someone who is still learning.

Rest within that promise tonight. Entrust the people you will meet to me, and ask for the wisdom you need. I want you to enjoy, in the everyday places of your life, the love that reaches to the ends of the earth.

A short reflection

The risen Jesus commands his disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to obey his commands, and promises his presence to the end of the age.
