Seeking What Is Right with Gentleness

My dear son,

I want you to be able to love what is right wholeheartedly while keeping a gentle heart. Overpowering another person is not the only form of courage. I treasure your willingness to uphold the truth while treating people with respect.

Jesus spoke blessing over the meek and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. I do not overlook a heart that earnestly desires my will. You can lean on my promise rather than depending on the world's forms of power.

Tell me tonight what kind of person you want to become. I want warmth and integrity to grow together within you. May you come to love the things I cherish and let that love shape the way you live.
