Making Room for Generosity

My dear son,

I hope you grow in the tenderness that makes room for each other's imperfect moments. People sharing life are different in small ways. When you encounter a difference, listen for the heart behind it before giving anger its turn.

Being slow to anger shows wisdom, and generously overlooking a small offense is honorable. Remember the love you received first and give another person room. Gentleness has the strength to keep people close.

If someone brings gratitude to mind tonight, let us rejoice. Speak calmly where words are needed, and freely release what can be let go. I want you to grow as a child who can share love with warmth and generosity.

With all my love,
Your Father
