A Fountain of Understanding That Sustains Life
My dear son,
Gain wisdom as though you were drawing clear water from a spring. I want what you learn to serve your life and the lives of your neighbors. The joy of making good choices is worth more than boasting that you know more.
When you are deciding what to do, tell me where your heart is leaning. Wisdom includes taking time to reconsider a hasty thought and investigate what you do not know. Choose lasting goodness beyond the mood of a moment.
Let us enjoy any new understanding this evening. What remains undecided may need further learning. As you grow patiently, I want to hear your story with a Father's tenderness.
