Asking Together for Joy
My dear son,
I want you to live with delight in me. Let our relationship have room for shared laughter and enjoyment of love, beyond the duties before you. May my steadfast love bring your heart to life.
On joyful days, tell me about your happiness freely. When you long for fresh strength, come near without hiding that need. The people sharing life with you can ask me for joy and salvation as well.
You might begin this morning by asking someone warmly how they are. Welcome the love you have received together, and share the care that is needed. I want to see your own happiness joined with the happiness of your neighbors.
