One Step toward the Light
My dear son,
Follow Jesus today as you would follow a light that makes the road visible. When you are unsure what to choose, consider the truth and love he showed. There you will find the light of life for your way.
You do not need to understand every distant event before beginning. Bring your next words and actions before me. Ask whether they preserve honesty and treat people with care.
If you recognize a wrong path, you can turn. Your Father wants you to look toward the light again. Keep your heart open to Jesus' teaching today, and walk calmly along the way it illuminates.
With all my love,
Your Father
John 8:12
WEB12Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
A short reflection
Jesus declares that he is the light of the world and that his followers will have the light of life instead of walking in darkness.
