Let Your Thinking Be Renewed

My dear son,

Just because everyone seems to be heading in one direction, you do not have to hurry after them. Bring today's choices before me and consider them carefully. Even familiar ways of thinking can be examined afresh.

Alongside asking what will benefit you, ask what is good. Consider whether a choice takes advantage of someone or compromises your honesty. It brings me joy to see your heart learning to recognize my will.

You do not have to get every judgment right from the beginning. Listen to my word, allow your thinking to change, and live what you learn. Keep me close as your mind is renewed today.

With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
